Everything you need to collect feedback, prioritize what to build, and keep customers in the loop. New here? Start with Getting started.

Getting started

FeedbackHQ organizes everything around a workspace — one per product or brand. After you create an account, you'll be prompted to name your workspace and choose a URL slug. That slug becomes your public portal address.

  1. Create your workspace and set its name, slug, and logo.
  2. Invite teammates and assign roles (owner, admin, member).
  3. Share your public portal link, or embed the widget on your site.
  4. Triage incoming feedback into statuses and tags.

Collecting feedback

There are two ways customers submit feedback:

Public portal. Every workspace gets a hosted portal at /p/your-slug where users browse existing requests, vote, and post new ideas. Voting helps you see demand at a glance and de-duplicates similar asks.

Embeddable widget. Drop the widget on your own site or app so users can submit without leaving. Guests can submit with just a name and email; no account required.

Duplicate requests are automatically surfaced so you can merge them, keeping vote counts consolidated on a single canonical item.

Managing feedback

From the dashboard you triage each request with statuses (e.g. Under review, Planned, In progress, Shipped) and tags for themes like billing or mobile. Both are fully customizable per workspace.

  • Comment publicly to keep requesters informed, or leave internal notes for your team.
  • Merge duplicates to consolidate votes onto one item.
  • Approve or decline guest-submitted posts before they appear publicly.

Roadmap & changelog

Statuses power your public roadmap automatically — anything marked Planned or In progress shows up so customers can follow along. When you ship, mark an item Shipped and it flows into your changelog, closing the loop with everyone who voted.

API & webhooks

Automate FeedbackHQ from your own systems using API keys and webhooks, managed under Settings → Developers in the dashboard.

  • API keys authenticate programmatic requests. Treat them like passwords — the full key is shown only once at creation.
  • Webhooks notify your endpoint when feedback is created, a status changes, or a comment is posted, so you can sync to Slack, Linear, or your own tooling.

A full REST reference with endpoint-by-endpoint examples is being finalized and will be linked here.
